The family oral history has been told that my gr gr grandmother Helene Happel was born on board ship to Baltimore. She was born March 3, 1847 and the ship Johannes arrived in port 19 May 1847. Ship records state she was 4mo old on arrival. Does anyone have an idea of the time a ship leaving Bremen, Germany to Baltimore would take in 1847?
