Hi Group, Well I got the copy of the death certificate for my great grandfather Thomas Kiddy from the Maryland State Archives. It has to be the correct Thomas Kiddy because it says that he died in Pekin, Allegany Co, MD and that his spouse was Orra Love, and that he and his parents were born in Scotland. But, to my amazement, it said that his father's name was Robert Kiddy, and his mother's name was Margaret Russell. I can't quite make out who it says was the person who gave the info. We had thought that his father was James Kiddy/kiddie and his mother Margaret Ritchie. So, my question is where should I look now to verify this and take in a step further? I looked quickly on RootsWeb and didn't see anything that matched up. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Louann Kiddy Creasy Also researching the Dayton side of the family.
