In our search at the Cumberland courthouse, we found about 4 COSGROVE. One was Patrick COSGROVE in the 1850s. That surname cought our eye because one of my husband's MCALLISTER ancestors married a COSGROVE in the late 1800s. We know the timeline so we checked EVERY book with pre & post the timeline without success. He was a judge & magistrate so must have had to be a citizen.
