    3. I'm interested in finding out where in Cresaptown was Virginia Street in both 1841 and 1925. My G-G Grandfather-Daniel Hutson, my G Grandfather-John Bell Hutson, and my Grandmother Armenia Susan Hutson Avery owned property there. It is listed on the deeds as Lot No. 2, fronting on Virginia Street 82 1/2 feet and running back 165 feet. While visiting Cumberland a few weeks ago I looked in Cresaptown and consulted the post office, but the street name has changed. I ran out of time or would have checked old maps at the public library. Thanks. Nora Avery Florida

    3. I believe that Winchester Rd. (Route 53) that runs from Cresaptown, past St. Ambrose Church to Pinto, MD used to be called Virginia Rd. There used to be a bridge at Pinto crossing the Potamac River into West Virginia (or Virginia pre-civil war). The road continued on to Winchester, VA.
