My grandmother was a Lewis from Frostburg, but I don't have much on her relatives. I couldn't find a Benjamin Franlin Lewis, however my grandmother had a brother who died as a baby, and his name was Franklin. She also had a brother named Frank. Her father was Danile Lewis, who was born in 1844 and came to Cardiff, Wales. He married a Ruth Chaney, daughter of John Chaney and Sarah Fawner. Daniel and Ruth had 8 children, Elizabeth Lovelle (my grandmother), Richard Frank Lewis, Edward Lewis, Franklin Lewis, Hattie Lewis, Anna Lewis and two infants who died at birth. My grandmother, married my grandfather, Charles Thompson. Not sure if any of this will help you. However, if you find a connection, would be appreciated if you would let me know. Thanks.
