Ruth~ Also be aware that many stated white/Caucasian. My daughter-in-law has Native American in her heritage. When she and her parents tried to trace this line in order to take advantage of tuition help by the government for university it was impossible. All her native American ancestors on records for race had placed white/Caucasian D/T the racism connected for jobs, financing, etc. The timeline was late 19th and 20th century in OH.
