Connie, You came through fine. I do have a question since the list is so quiet. On the early Channel 2 news in Baltimore on Wednesday morning, they said a tornado had touched down in Flintstone, MD on Tuesday evening and they had a crew on the way out to Flintstone to see what the damage was. They were to report the results on the Wednesday evening news. As you know Wednesday's weather became such a news event with severe thunderstorm warnings splattered all over the area, that I didn't hear anything on Channel 2 about what was found in Flintstone from Tuesday's tornado touchdown. They may have reported it but if they did, I missed it. Do you know if there was an damage around Flintstone? Sharon
A lot of trees went down but nothing serious on Tuesday night. Surprised me. I was here alone and the thunder itself could have shaken everything lose...so I was surprised to get up yesterday and find the sun shining and just some tree limbs in the yard. Several people I know told me that they were on their way home and the wind blew them all the way to Midland. They live on Dan's Mountain and made sure everyone went to brother Mark's house, across the street from them, where they huddled in Mark's cellar until the thunder stopped. The Cumberland Times didn't write all that much about it. Now, there was actually more damage last night. At least one car was stuck in water in that underpass on Virginia Blvd, and several other places had flooding. Other people on this list may have experienced more damage than here in LaVale. Sharon, I'll mail the Wednesday and Thursday papers to you. So how did you make out down there? Connie > Connie, > > You came through fine.
