A senior friend states "Gehauf's Restaurant is located in LaVale across the road (Rt 40) from where the Six Mile House used to be." It sounds as though this was a separate place from The Toll House. I remember a custard stand being in that location and then a gas station, then Burger King. I remember Mother mentioning "The Six Mile House" like it was a tavern/restaurant, but I never knew where it was. Anyone know about it?
