In doing some research on a lateral family (Ann Collins m unknown Carter), I have found their descendents living on Clay Mountain Road, Mt Savage and they listed their occupations as clay miners. Several of their children (John and Edward) died in Mt Savage in the 70's. Anyone researching these families? Would also like to know more about the clay mining and possibly where Clay Mountain Road would have been.
