Is there anyone knowledgeable about the McIntyre family of eastern Garrett County and vicinity? David McIntyre, born in the 1830s, married Mary Ellen Barnes. He was named in various Civil War pension depositions as having lived in what is now eastern Garrett County before the War. His name appears as head of household in the 1870 census with post office at Westernport and in the 1880 census at Barton. Has anyone researched the McIntyre family of western Maryland?
