    3. There is an obit for a man that fits your profile/name listed in the Washington Co., MD Obit Locator. You can obtain a copy of this obit from the Washington Co. Free Library. The obit appeared 8 Mar 1917 in the Daily Mail. No age was listed - but it sure seems worth a shot after 10 years of wondering. Gordon Perhaps one of the Gordon researchers can answer this question for me. It would solve a 10 year old mystery. I went to Knoxville, (Frederick Co.) MD to find where Denton Twigg and his family. They left Allegany Co., MD and settled in Knoxville, MD. The men in Denton Twigg's family are buried in the Knoxville, MD Old Reformed Church Cemetery. Knoxville is in the Brunswick MD area and has been a RR town from very early on. The tombstones for the 6-8 Twiggs are very distinct and all lined up in a row. In the very middle of two of Denton's sons is buried an Edgar L. Gordon - d. 3/1/1917 (36 - 6 9) His stone is exactly like the Twigg stones and they are the only stones in this cemetery I noticed like this. Other than Denton, all of the Twiggs buried in this cemetery are young men, ages 26, 22 15, 13 and so on. I don't know what happened to the wives of these men. I know the one remarried a John H. Smith and he is buried at the end of the Twiggs and yes, he has the same type of stone. Minnie Twigg Smith's name is on the tombstone with John's but she has no death date on the stone. After finding Edgar L. Gordon, I thought perhaps he was an Allegany Co. man that married one of Denton's daughters, moved to Knoxville/Brunswick area and he too worked on the RR with the Twigg men. Does any of the Gordon researcher's know who this Gordon is?
