A very kind person in Allegany County has photocopied many pages from the Cresaptown UMC records and sent them to me. In those records there is a page of funerals with this information: 1916 Dec 20 Richard D. Avery 63 years Cresaptown MD date of death Dec. 18, 1916. My question de jour is: why can't I find that record in online archives? I've found other relatives on those little cards...but not this elusive great-uncle of mine. Anybody have any clues? BTW: I've tried looking up some of his aliases such as Nicholas Avery, Richard Dawson, R.N. Dawson, Richard Avery, but to no avail. Thanks for any help. Nora in balmy Florida
