    3. My great grandparents were also from Scotland, migrated to Lonaconing, and were coal miners. My great grandfather was Thomas Kiddy (or Kiddie) dob abt. Oct 1862, and his wife was Orianna Love, dob 9 April 1863. She was born in Pottsville, PA. This is were my trail ends. I assume that my ancestors immigrated into PA. because I believe that was one of the ports of entry. So it makes sense that there is where he met my great grandmother. I haven't been able to prove any of this yet, so if anyone has any knowledge or ways to confirm or disprove this please let me know. My great great grandfather and all of his family ( 9 children) immigrated from Scotland to Lonaconing. He was a coal miner and so were his sons. I would love to hear more about it. They eventually left Md. and moved to Colorado to do coal mining.
