Norman, There is a book by Thomas B. Searight --"The Old Pike; A History of The National Road" In it is listed several pages on Collier's. John Collier, his son Daniel and a Thomas Collier. There is even a photo of Daniel Collier pg. 222. I don't know if the book is still available to purchase. You may be able to loan a copy from your library. It was copyrighted in 1894 by T. B.
