Thanks Connie, the only thing I have to go on is the obit that I got form the Allegany County Genealogy Society. Got it the same day I met you working there. The obit dated 12-11-1965 says service will be conducted at Dawson Methodist Church by Rev. L Carl Whitten. Burial Dawson Cemetery. Maybe the church has a new name, who knows. Burial was at the Dawson Cemetery, I assume this must not be a Church Cemetery. This is always my luck and dead end. Pat. Pat, I Googled "Dawson United Methodist Church" and found quite a few spread across the country. The <MdMountainside.com> website had this address for the church you are looking for: Dawson United Methodist Church Route 3, Box 93A Rawlings, Maryland 21557 Telephone# 301-786-5077 This has to be an old address because Allegany County no longer has mail addressed to Routes and Boxes - everything has a street or road name and number. I do still get an occassional letter addressed to my old route and box, so if you mail to this address, the Rawlings P.O. will probably deliver it. Good luck in your search.
