In case anyone is interested....the answer floated in from Ken Grandstaff in Thurmont, MD via The Crick Site, a blog for Lonaconing natives. The bride's father is Dr. McColley. My uncle, the chemist, Samuel B. McFarlane, Jr. worked with Dr. McColley at the Celanese. My grandfather Sam McFarlane, Sr. also worked at Celanese. Ken thinks the bride married a guy by the name of Bernie, who also worked in the analytical lab at Celanese.
