Here is a suggestion that worked for my family reunion in 2004. I prepared several books from my FTM program, complete with covers and auctioned them off at my family reunion. I had a total of 11 books and made $245.00. I announced prior to the auction that the proceeds would go to my two cousins who hosted and put the reunion together. They were thrilled. Making the announcement before hand somewhat boosted the prices of the family tree booklets that I made. My two cousins host the family reunion every year and never ask for anything from those who come from out of town. They are in Akron, I am in TN, so I thought it would help them with their expenses. Chere- The Twigg Reunions usually have 250-500 in attendance each year, depending on the heat, humidity and overall weather. The hat is passed to take up a collection toward future expenses. One year we were to bring at "least" one recipe originally used in the cooking of a Twigg home. The recipes were collected and the following year, they had been turned into a Twigg cookbook and sold at the Reunion - $10 each, I think. I bought one for myself, one for my mother, one for my daughter and one each for both my granddaughters - this was a good money maker. Do you have a "Reunion Account" set up yet? If you do not, perhaps you need to discuss this and elect officers. Form Committees, don't try to do it all yourself.
