I found Louise Jordan on the SS Death Index - 1898-1991 - so I'm perhaps getting closer to finally filling in the remainder of the holes on the STEPPE FGS. She was Maria Louisa Cecilia STEPPE born in 1898 and christened at SS Peter and Pal Cath Ch. Her family lived on Maryland Ave. In 1919 she wed a Johann Hardig or Harding at St. Mary's Cath Ch. Sometime later before 1950 she wed a Luther Jordan. There is no mention of this 2nd marriage at either SS Peter and Paul and St. Mary's. I thought this curious until I found a family headed by a Luther M. Jordan in a city directory. He was also living on Maryland Ave. Now, it might be a stretch, but I think Luther M. was actually Martin Luther Jordan. I know they married- Maria Louisa Cecilia Hardig/Harding or maybe even Steppe and Luther Jordan after 1933 and before 1950. Perhaps at a local Lutheran church - I looked and there are 5 Lutheran churches listed. Which one would be closest to Maryland Ave 800-900 block or the courthouse? I think I've got Luther Jordan's date of death to between 1962-1964 and hers to of course 1991 Oakland, Garrett Co., MD. When she moved to Garrett Co is also a question. d.o.d. 04 Mar 1991.
