Hi Mark! The Greises are in my husband's family on his father's side. Let me know what you need. I'll ask the family. A well meaning cousin had a new headstone made for my great-grandparents and for my gr-grandmother, Mary Catherine (Sheppard) Thrasher. He used the death certificate date as a resource for her date of birth and it is wrong. I have seen the death record and it does appear to be written 1879. However, the actual year of her birth is 1871 (01/06/1871 - 04/02/1930). (from census records). Also, had she been born in 1879, Mary Catherine would have been 9 years old when she bore my grandfather. Mary Catherine Sheppard ("Sheppard" can be spelled several different ways) was born in West Virginia and we believe her father's name was John Edward Sheppard. (And as best I can tell from this fading fax), her mother's name was Mary Millison McGee or possibly McBee. Is it possible to get a birth record for her with this little bit of information from West Virginia? Thanks, ~ Chere
Hey Thanks. I was wondering what is the relationship between Mary-Ann Greise and the people who are hosting the family reunion. What is your husband's name and what is his relationship to them? I don't have practically any info. on the Greise except that my great-grandfather, John Robert Adams married Mary-Ann Greise and that her parents were George C. Greise and Catherine A. I want to find out some of the basic Greise history before I attend the reunion this July. Thanks for helping me out. Thanks So Much Mark Cindy Mease wrote: > Hi Mark! > > The Greises are in my husband's family on his father's side. Let me know > what you need.
