    1. [MDALLEGA] 1850 Census Lookup Request
    2. Matt Combs
    3. My online access to the census is through the library here, and occasionally their provider takes databases offline. I am looking for an 1850 Census Lookup because that database is currently offline. Any help is appreciated. I've been searching for Mary HEATLEY/WILSON/SHANNON in Springfield, Hampshire, WV and in 1920 finally in Cumberland, Allegany, MD. I have most info, and late last night I hit upon an idea to search the census, finding Mary's mother and Mary as follows: 1870 Washington DC census Jane HEATELY, 58, f, w, Keeping House, Ireland John ROBERTS, 32, m, w, Shoemaker, MD Louisa ROBERTS, 28, f, w, keeping house, DC Jane ROBERTS, 5/12, f, w, -, DC The above is a big breakthrough for me because it helps to explain the Margaret L. ROBERTS on the 1880 Springfield census showing her as adopted daughter. A quick later nationwide search for John and Louisa did not find them in 1880, perhaps and accident or illness? 1860 Washington DC census Jane HETLEY, 48, f, -, -, 50, Ireland Mary HETLEY, 23, f, can't read it?, -, -, DC Louisa HETLEY, 19, f, can't read it?, -, -, DC can't read it? HETLEY, 17, m, app to ???, -, -, DC James HETLEY, 15, m, -, -, -, DC Any help deciphering the can't read would be appreciated. I am really hoping the 1850 Washington DC census is the breakthrough, listing the husband. Could somebody do a lookup in the 1850 DC census for this HEATLEY family? Please check alternate spellings. I appreciate your help. Matt _________________________________________________________________ Discover the new Windows Vista http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=windows+vista&mkt=en-US&form=QBRE
