Death of Mrs. Daniel Krapf (sic), Jr. Frostburg, February 21 - Many were the expressions of regret heard at this place yesterday afternoon upon receipt of the word of the death of Mrs. Daniel Kraft, Jr., nee Mary Jane Thomas, at her home in Eckhart at 2:30 p. m., from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Kraft was born in 1860. She is survived by her husband and father, Mr. Jos. B. Thomas, for many years the foreman for the Consolidated Coal Co. at Hoffman mines, five sisters, viz. Mrs. H. S. Eckhart and Mrs. H. E. Colburn of this place, Mrs. Frederick Metzger of Lutherville, Md., and Misses Nellie and Lillian; and one brother, Mr. Jas. Thomas of Eckhart. The funeral arrangements have not yet been competed. The deceased was forty-five years of age and was beloved by all who knew her. The Evening Times, Cumberland, February 21, 1905 **************************** Frostburg, February 23 -The funeral of Mrs. Mary Jane, wife of Daniel Krapf, Jr., whose death at the residence of her father, mr. Jos. Thomas, at Eckhart Mines, Monday afternoon, was noted in a former issue, took place yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence. Rev. A. C. Thomas, pastor of the Presbyterian church of Lonaconing and formerly of the church of this place, of which the deceased was a life long member, preached and conducted the burial services, speaking in a very touching manner of the past life of Mrs. Krapf as an example worthy of following in others. After the services at the house were completed, the remains were taken in charge of Mr. E. R. Edwards, of the Frostburg Furniture company, the cortege proceeded to Frostburg where interment was made in the Allegany cemetery about 5 o'clock. The high esteem and love in which the deceased was held was evidenced in the very large concourse of friends that attended the funeral. The Evening Times, Cumberland, February 23, 1905
