There used to be a nursing home in Deer Park that was run by Gorman and Toots (not sure of her real name) Bowser. She had cancer and it dissolved about 1965. My mother took in some folks from that home, Richard Gerlack, Banjo Beeman, Martin Mckenzie are the ones I remember. It was beside the Deer Park Assembly of God Church which is now Church of God of Prophecy, I believe. Hope this helps.
