    3. In several articles I came across this weekend, I find an ancestor living in Beechwood. The census for 1900 - 1910 have them living on Douglas Ave in Lonoconing. The articles are from the Evening News circa 1909 which identifies them as Thomas CHAMBERS of Beechwood & Mrs. Thomas CHAMBERS of Beechwood. Would anyone know where this would be located or is it an area of Lonoconing?? Mary Ellen Chambers

    3. Beechwood St. run off Douglas Ave. about .2 of a mile from Main St., then runs parallel to Douglas Ave. going north out of Lonaconing. Douglas Ave. then turns into Avilton Lonaconing Rd. and goes out to the farms (where the B52 crashed in 1964) and connects to other roads leading to Frostburg, Savage River or Westernport. Beechwood St. is about 2 miles long and ends. Beechwood is in the lower section; I guess you could say it runs up the hollow; Douglas Ave runs up the mountain; a few hundred feet difference in elevation. 3. There is a Beechwood Rd, off of Douglas Avenue, that is at the top of the hill, off to the right. I have family who have lived up at the end of Beechwood.
