Sarah Ann ___ CASTEEL b abt 1750 - 1850 census (Dist. 2, Allegany, MD) (100 years old) with grandson Thomas CASTEEL & family... was she *Sarah Ann ENLOW/INLOW/INLO?* I have followed the path of Thomas CASTEEL b abt 1753 & family 1790 Bedford, PA 1800 Sandy Creek, Allegany, MD 1820 Dist 2, Allegany, MD to 1840 Selbysport, Allegany, MD 1850 Dist. 2, Allegany, MD The ENLOW/INLOW/INLO's seem to move with the CASTEEL's and in 1850 Wm ENLOW is living with Nathan CASTEEL (Sarah Ann's grandson) while Sarah Ann is living close by. In fact, not only is Sarah Ann living close by with her grandson, Thomas, but grandson's William, Nathan & Jesse (& probably daughters/granddaughters that I haven't researched closely) are all nearby. There is a marriage record and a marriage license record for: CASTLE, Thomas & Margaret SHELLING http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/1pa/paarchivesseries/series2/vol8/pass82.html http://www.pagenweb.org/paarchivesseries.html C Surnames Pages 48=49 It's entirely possible that CASTLE, Thomas is Thomas CASTEEL and that he married Margaret Shelling in 1773. BUT... it's also entirely possible that Margaret died - or something - and Thomas married Sarah Ann ____ ... perhaps before 1st son, Jeremiah CASTEEL's birth abt 1775 (if Sarah Ann was his mother?).
