    3. Please folks there must be someone among us who can help a family locate their biological roots. These people are our blood, our cousins, they deserve any help we can offer and our respect. Most of us have made a connection with our ancestors, let us help someone who has not made that root connection…yet. The sharing of any clues would be so appreciated, so helpful, and give a family hope, make them feel welcome, locate members of their family, share the connection. Anna Catherine "Annie" BITTINGER, dob 3 Sep 1907, dod 9 Mar 1983, daughter of Joseph Henry "Joe" BITTINGER and Eliza Jane BROADWATER. Anna had 4 children prior to marriage, raised by others, 3 sons, and a daughter, 1 of those children, a son (the subject of this inquiry) was born Edward Lee BITTINGER. Edward was given up for adoption to a couple who raised him in OHIO. The adopting family renamed Edward, Daniel. We all deserve to know, and be part of our history, relatives, family lineage, share a branch of that family tree. Anna was briefly married to James Lewis FAZENBAKER, who previously was married to BEEMAN sisters. Edward, Daniel “Dan” was born in 1948. His son Eric is attempting to make the family connection, collect information and research for his father and the family. They would like nothing more than to obtain that family connection. Please if anyone can provide that piece that will allow them to communicate and connect with family members, they would be so very happy and grateful. Please e-mail, either the list… Or Eric [email protected] Or Carole [email protected] Thank you for your time and whatever help you can offer. 3. There was a Bittinger family living in the city of Laurel, Maryland in the late 1970's. Maybe they can check there. I don't remember the guys given name.

    3. The below obit for Walter L. Bittinger states that his parents were Joseph and Eliza (Broadwater) Bittinger. Could he be a sister to Anna? His wife Cora Meyers is in my line, so I don't have any additional research going backwards. I have Walter and Cora in the 1920 and 1930 census with their children in Garrett County. I just tried to quickly find Walter with his parents in the 1900 and 1910 census to no avail. I will try to look more later. I descend from Robert Green from the late 1700's and although I have many of the above surnames strewn throughout my database I can't place any of the other names listed. Most of my research in Allegany and Garrett county is pre 1880 though. Hope this helps. Ruth Ann O'Hara OBIT: Walter L.
