My brother is a Viet Nam Vet. His son died when my brother and his wife were stationed in Germany and the son is buried at Arlington. I was able to find his grave site using the locator. Carol Nida From: "Ruth Sprowls" <[email protected]> > WEll, not really. If a spouse or child of a veteran was buried in a national cemetery (such as Arlington) they too should be listed. I don't have any names that would qualify for this, so cannot check it out. But I would ASSUME that anyone buried in a national cemetery would be in the index. > Anyone know for sure? > Ruth > > Subject: Re: [PAWASHIN] Nationwide Gravesite Locator > > > I believe this is a search site for Ancestors who served in the Armed Forces only. My Gr-Gr-Uncle was killed during the Civil War and I have a picture of his tombstone, clearly showing his name. He is buried in Hampton National Cemetery (VA). This cemetery is listed on the drop-down menu but the prompt tells me "NO results shown for your search". I even tried it without the cemetery name and played with variants of his surname but got no results.
