Thanks..that lets out a check on marriages because I am sure that their first child was born before 1898. I am trying to find this woman who is a great great aunt. She was born to my great great grandparent before he married my grandmother. He had three children by an earlier marriage??? Altho the two boys ended up living with the family I did not find the girl Leatha (married name) Nuse for sure til earlier this week when I received the death certificate. Guess I'll keep on looking..thanks a lot for trying to help.
