>>>> How's this for weird timing. I stumbled upon the recording of the marriage of Henry Topp and "Feeny Hodel" He was 24 she was 17. Banns thrice published St. Patrick's Church, Cumld, Md.The date was August 21st 1886. It lists his occupation as a "Blass Presser" (?) I can make presser out but it could be Glass - not sure. His residence is listed as Allegany County and hers is Cumberland. I can try to copy this and send it to you if you would like. Just let me know. >>>> Theresa, Many thanks for the information. I am not familiar with the Banns book. Is it available in a library in Allegany County? You also educated me, as I was not familiar with Banns. I looked it up to find out what they were. Do you know if the date 21 August 1886 is the date of the bann or the marraige? I would assume the occupation is Glass Presser. As previously posted, Henry was living with Albert GROVES, my grandfather. My grandfather was a blower of artisan glass. My mother told me that Albert blew some of the most beautiful pieces of glass you would want to see. Albert later became partner in the Wonder Bar on Virginia Avenue in Cumberland. Henry's parents Lewis and Mary TOPP both attended St. Patricks and are buried in St. Patricks cemetery in Cumberland. I am still seeking the Obituary for Henry TOPP - reportedly 29 May 1941 in Cumberland, MD> Matt _________________________________________________________________ HotmailĀ® goes with you. http://windowslive.com/Tutorial/Hotmail/Mobile?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_HM_Tutorial_Mobile1_052009
