I just read a post from the DC list that explains the releasing of immigration records from those coming into this country after 1944. They are supposed to have the location of where they lived, Chinese scrolls etc. They will be released this fall. You can view them at NARA and request copies if the person(s) in question's birth day is at least 100 years or more.
