    3. JoAnn- It sounds as if you may be describing the "Oliver Grove United Methodist Church" on Old Oldtown Road. This piece of land was donated by Oliver Twigg when he lived at Sink Hole Bottom. Oliver was Jerry Twigg's grandfather and Jerry says the land was located at the very back of the old Twigg farm. Oliver donated the land for the church, which is red brick, and the cemetery, located across the road. Sharon

    3. Thank you Sharon. This sounds right. I am going to try again to find it before the summer is over. Another Jerry Twigg I went to school with would have known where it was but he died last Sept. Oliver was his ancestor too. I'm related to two lines of Twiggs, but they come down from Charles and Jane (Johnson) Twigg. I'd like to get my Hartley's as far back as the Twiggs! Thanks again.
