    1. [MDALLEGA] Rev Dr. Moffatt
    2. Can someone give me an idea where this gentleman may have been a minister. Just found a 1909 wedding announcement for my grandparents. Mrs. Bertha V Robison of Patterson Creek, daughter of Mr and Mrs J Kaylor of this place and Mr. Solomon M Robison, foreman at Patterson Creek were united in marriage Wednesday morning at the home of Rev. Dr. Moffatt. Would like to locate a marriage record or ledger of some sort. Thanks. Pat

    3. Pat, I found a publication regarding the genealogy of the Moffat family, published in April 1907. Title was: Moffatana Bulletin by George West Moffatt page 25 states the following: "Cumberland, Md. -- Rev. James Erskine Moffatt, D. D., celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of his pastorate on Feb. 9, 1908. During this time the church has prospered in every way, and is now one of the most substantial in the Presbytery of Baltimore. Dr. Moffatt was born in Bloomington, Ind., graduated from Monmouth College in 1866, and McCormick Seminary in 1869; was licensed by Monmouth Presbytery in May 1868; and ordained by Springfield Presbytery in june, 1869; was Pastor at Decatur, Ill., 1869-1873, and at the First Church of Ottawa, Ill., 1873-77, coming to Cumberland early in 1878.--Herald & Presbyter. (This is a County Antrim, Ireland-South Carolina Line)." Ruth
