I bought blue tracing paper two or three years ago but I never really knew how to use it. Can someone instruct me. I plan on going to Newburg in Preston Co. this week-end. (depending on the weather) to see if I can get a better copy of a stone there in Newburg Union Cemetery. Joe (from Newburg) sent me a picture of a stone with my ancestor's name on it. Harriet Hinerman wife of David Hoffman. He said there is a ston right beside it with the name Lizzy Hinerman beside her. Maybe I can lift some other info from the stone with the blue paper. I have the middle initial for David Hoffman as "D". I also have info showing this David Hoffman b. 1822 was a Civil War Vet. He is supossed to be listed in Vol. 1; he enlisted 1865 and mustered out May 1865; transfered to E; thirteenth MD infantry. How would I go about getting a Civil War Badge (or what ever it is called ^..^) for David Hoffman. It shows George Hoffman enlistment same as David also transferd to E Thirteenth MD infantry. I know George is related to David but not sure how. Thanks for your help. Harriet</HTML>
