Becci: I'm very sorry to hear of the death of your daughter, way, way too young. Someone hijacked your email addy and used it to post a spam message to this list. This happens all the time and there probably isn't anything much you can do to prevent it. It is probably a good idea to scan your computer for a virus, although email hijacking can happen without a virus. I have heard but do not know for certain that changing your password can prevent the hijackers from getting back into it. Don't think this is necessariy true but you can try it. When an email is hijacked it sends out email/spam that appears to come from your email and goes to addresse that are in your email address book - that means that if someone writes to you directly and this happens again, they are going to personally get the spam emails. So most folks aren't going to write you. Also, I don't think many people knew that you were a legitimate listmember.
