The Genealogical Society of Allegany Co., Maryland Library will reopen on Feb 2. to resume operations. Hours are Mon. 9-4, Wed. 9-12, Thurs 10-2. We are located within the Appalachian Collection area of Allegany College of Maryland Library, 12401 Willowbrook Road, Cumberland, Maryland. The January closure was necessitated by failure of the environmental control system and recovery from problems associated with that. Dick, Thank you for this posting. I've been very worried about what you've been able to save. This is all precious material. At some point, please let us know what was lost and I'll bet we can work to replace it. I appreciate all you do. We need our Allegany Co. Genealogy collection!
