I have a copy of the Henckel Genealogy and the only mention of "Drakes" is as follows: Two of the children of George (Rudolphus) and Anna Marie (Plummer) Hinkle (Henkel) are: Elizabeth Hinkle (Hinckle), born July 5, 1762; confirmed in Lutheran Church of Frederick, Maryland (page 210); married October 17, 1780 to William Drake (Recorded Frederick County Marriage Book 1), (See Scharf, Volume 1, page 428.) Two (2) children. The 1810 Census of Allegany County, Maryland included Elizabeth Drake, widow, as living next door to George Plummer Hinkle. Sarah Hinkle, born February 10, 1763; died April 13, 1848; married Thomas Drake, born November 16, 1760; died January 19, 1844. Received portion of Father's estate. (See Deed Book A, page 262; Deed Book C, page 585. Allegany County, Maryland.) No known issue. Both buried in Drakes Valley Cemetery, Jefferson County, Ohio. Further in the book it gives the information on the two children of Elizabeth Hinkle Drake and William Drake: Edward Drake, married January 22, 1824 to Varlinda Beall (Allegany County Marriage Book 1). Alpheus and David Hinkle deeded land to Edward Drake in 1820 witnessed by George P. Hinkle, (Book K page 443 Allegany County, Maryland). Barsheba Drake, married April 30, 1816 to John Combs. (Allegany County Marriage Book 1). I am sorry, but that is all the information that is contained in my book. Hope this gives you a chance to get a copy of their marriage certificates, etc. Perhaps the parents of the Drake boys will be listed on the certificate and give you the information you need.
