    3. Anyone have any information on Jeremiah Augustine, b. 1841 Addison, Somerset Co. Pennsylvania...married Harrriet Duckworth. Jeremiah died in 1922 in the National Soldiers Home in Dayton, OH. He is my g.g grandfather and trying to find his parents. Thanks

    3. Have you looked for the Soldiers' Home records. His admitting papers might tell you his parentage. Worth a try to find if you haven't looked there. He could be a Civil War veteran; therefore, he or wife may have applied for a pension.  The applications for pension from Union Army  veteran usually have a great deal of data.  These can be obtained via the National Archives and Ancestry.com may have them.  I know Ancestry had an index at one time.  Can't check today for you but will try over the next few days.
