    3. Hi Sheryl The Winterstine family I am looking for has John Leroy Winterstine born 1925 in Cumberland, but it looks like the family moved to Ridgeley. I believe his father was John H Winterstine. John "Leroy" married Laverne Patton of Lonaconing. Let me know if this is the same family you have!

The name Eury is an aunts maiden name. Her first name was Pearl and I know somewhere I have the place she was born in Maryland but for the life of me have not found it recently. Her granddaughter called me yesterday and said she knew that there was a Columbus Washington Eury in the family tree. She wondered if I knew anything more about him. 3. Dear List, I'm still searching for clues or information regarding Ebenezer Davis who died in Westernport, Allegany Co., MD between Nov. 18, 1793 and Jan. 13, 1794. His will list wife name Sarah, and children: Joseph, Levi, Rachel, Stephen, Ebenezer, Tabitha, Jenny, Mary Ann "Polly", and Susannah. Based on the children's births Sarah could possibly be the 2nd wife? Several sources suggest Ebenezer was born 1726 in Connecticut, but I have been unable to substantiate that. There seems to be quite a bit of Ebenezer's ancestors still possibly living in Allegany Co., MD. Perhaps someone knows something. Thanks for any help. Mark Davis

    3. Susan posted: researching my CHANEY connection, through Elizabeth Elbin who married Ezekiel Chaney, and would love to know what you have on that name from Ruth: what time period are you talking about? Can you be a little more specific with others tied into Elizabeth and Ezekiel? I can find info on a few Ezekiel and a Mrs. Ezekiel death, but won't start printing out articles and scanning til I know for sure what I find is what you need. LISTERS: It is not a bad thing to give more info in a request - the less info, the harder we have to search - and not knowing YOUR FAMILIES we sometimes are at a loss and will say to heck with it, not worth my time. So share what you have and help those that are helping you. thanks, Ruth

    3. Susan, You didn't give a time for this person, but I have a petition in Frederick County, from about 1758, which includes Ezekiel Chainey along with others living in Hagerstown and points south (the petition of course includes John Perins). The whole petition is online at the Maryland Archives; the first page of the petition is at http://aomol.net/megafile/msa/speccol/sc2900/sc2908/000001/000056/html/am56--502.html Ezekiel Chaney, along with Perrin and others, is on a list of accounts due for Hugh Parker, deceased, in 1756 (Hugh was a fur trader who died around 1752) [Frederick Co. MD Inventory Book 1A p. 271]. If you need more detail please mail me off list.
