Per the marriage file posted on the MD Allegany Genweb site, they were married 23 Dec 1869. They are located in the 1870 census in Allegany County, District 4, page 3. I am currently trying to find all the Descendants of Robert Green b. 1770 who married Barbara Spiker. Nancy Ann Broadwater is a grand-daughter of Robert Green. I think years ago there was a St. Gabriel's in Barton - but I do not know if it still exists - I think there are some records on the Allegany roots web page
St. Patrick's has a very small cemetery - and St. Joseph's in Midland lost their records to a fire. There is a St. Peter's in Westernport - but the day I went there the rectory was closed - so we never made it to the cemetery. I have no idea how good their records are. I called there one day and they said the only way to get information was to make an appointment and go through their books - tough to do from Orlando
There is a St. Patrick's in Mount Savage

Thanks. I was hoping it would be in the Lonoconing area. Have been searching for some data on the death of Thomas J. CHAMBERS circa 1817 - 1922 who lived in Lonoconing on Douglas St. No death record on the MD death certificate web site. Have walked the Catholic cemetery in Lonoconing & Frostburg without any luck. He may not have a stone but thought there would be some sort of legal record. Also, could not find a newspaper obit. Local point of interest - I went up to our farm in Bedford County today to work on a car with my father. There was a fire on Warriors Ridge, right across the Mason-Dixon line on the PA side. Not sure what sparked it off, as it was a nice day, weather wise. Pretty good sized, but I saw no emergency vehicles around, and called '911' and was told that Flintstone was on it's way to investigate. A few hours later on our way back through, we passed fire crews from several different locations staged at the intersection of Black Valley Road and Gap Road, topping off their tanker trucks to rotate up to the fire line. Anybody here anything on the local news as to the cause? Maybe there'll be something in the paper tomorrow. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
