There used to be a nursing home in Deer Park that was run by Gorman and Toots (not sure of her real name) Bowser. She had cancer and it dissolved about 1965. My mother took in some folks from that home, Richard Gerlack, Banjo Beeman, Martin Mckenzie are the ones I remember. It was beside the Deer Park Assembly of God Church which is now Church of God of Prophecy, I believe. Hope this helps. Richard Reed (is on the 1870 census for Lonaconing with his family. By 1880 he is dead and his wife is remarried to a Green. Could someone check the cemetery books for a Richard Reed's grave or any information about him? I am told the name was spelled different ways. His wife was Bridget and they were both born in Ireland and immigrated about the 1860's. Thanks Pat Dailey -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. Chere, Do you know anyone at that church? Is Midland Methodist the same as Grace Methodist Church in Midland? Lionel Barker told me that Clarence McCloud was his Dad's minister at Grace. A call back to the FH might reveal his religious calling. Even if they need a good date they probably know of this minister. If nothing else pans out maybe this call would. Also have you checked to see if the Sunset Cem has a website and email address. I have had good results this way. Maybe if you just googled Rev. McCloud you'd find your answer? I know that genealogy is one thing where a "step backwards" is a step in the right direction. Good Luck - Karen

Pat, why not call the cemetery and ask about their burial records? You could also investigate Rev. Clarence McCloud and see when he served as pastor and where. Call the church then and ask for their records. Since her nephew was the Mayor of a place the town hall should know when his term of office was and they might even have a picture of him hanging around somewhere! That might be a neat find. I wish you luck in your endeavor. Maybe an illegitmate son with a father named Sinnet????? The following information was taken from St. Patricks Church records. Michael Thomas Sinnet son of Margaret McGully (last name was not legible) was born March 11th baptized June 4 1843 sponsor Pat Conner & Mrs Larkin.
