It would be a good idea to call them first to make sure they still have them. It's been quite a while since I was there. Thank you for the link Ruth. Unfortunately did not find any of mine, but it is a great resource to know about.
Here is a link to google books for the Volume 5 of the List of Pensioners on the Roll for 1883 - includes 1812 and Civil War veterans receiving pension / or their widows. This volume 5 includes Maryland and this link SHOULD bring you up to page 109 which is the start of Alleghany Co. MD. Good luck everyone. (these are the same books found at ancestry.com, but MUCH easier to search) if you need another volume for another state, search at the top search bar to the right of GOOGLE BOOKS: Ruth Sprowls http://books.google.com/books?id=t7oqAAAAMAAJ&pg=PT116&dq=list+of+pensioners+on+the+roll+1883+maryland&hl=en&ei=UBZ9TMKrNMOqlAfkpbG0Cg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCgQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=false

He was born in Washington PA and came to Frostburg as a boy, and married Miss Elizabeth Lambert. He served in Co. A, 3rd MD and took part in Hunters Raid. Rachel and John Folk who have two son's Charles Webster and Frisby Folk. Charles Webster married an Elizabeth Robinson. Trying to find the parents of Elizabeth also. But in order for Uriah Robinson to have the half brother's Webster & Frisby Folk they would have had to have one common parent. Meaning either Rachel ???? Folk would have had to marry a Robinson the father of Uriah. Or I guess John Folk could have married the mother of Uriah? Any help in solving this puzzle? I also have a Ralph Eugene Folk in my FTM. Pete, I checked the 1900 census. Living in Cumberland, Allegany Co: Yeager, Frederick Head b May 1875 25 years old Mamie Wife b Jan. 1876 24 years old Mary B. daughter b Sept. 1896 4 years old Clarence son b Feb. 1898 2 years old married 4 years 2 children Living next door was: Duvall, Joseph Head b. Feb. 1838 62 years old Mary J. wife b. May 1837 63 years old married 26 years 3 children This possibly could be the parents of Mamie. Phyllis</HTML>
I'm looking for information on Mary "Mamie" Elizabeth Duvall b. abt. 1877 in Cumberland Md. First husband was Frederick Yeager 1875-1916 interred in St. Luke's Cemetery, married about 1896 and divorced before 1908. Second husband was Henry Vogel 1874-1946. Mamie and Henry moved away from Cumberland about 1928 and relocated near Detroit Michigan. They made several trips back to Cumberland to visit friends and relatives. Specifically would like to know parents names of Mary Elizabeth Duvall. Thank you, Pete
BJ, So was it determined that Phoebe's husband's name was William? ISTR that there had been some arguing amongst the researchers as to his name. Do you know where "Bald Hill Cemetery" in CV is? As for my MILLER line - I honestly couldn't tell you. I can trace my MILLER line back to my GGGG-grandfather, John MILLER, who married Caroline BRIDGES in CV, and they had (at least) 8 kids. Where John came from - I have no clue. William and Phoebe were parents of George Leasure and 1st wife Sarah Twigg. George and Sarah had a son William b.1829. Also several other children. Do you need their names and dates?? I have followed the line of George Leasure and Catherine Brant, the 2nd wife. So I am not much help with the line you are looking for. But do have some info and might be able to help with specific questions. BJD ----- Original Message ----- From: "John H.
