He is a sterling democrat and was Speaker of the Delaware Senate at the session of 1893. Dr. Thomas A. Councell, who for some time has been the resident physician at the Baltimore City Hospital, has removed to Easton to practice his profession. He is an Easton young man, son of the late William H. Councell, and gained an enviable reputation as a physician and surgeon in Baltimore. Centerville Record:-Clark Mason, Alfred B. Mason and C.H. Leonard, of Easton, Md. and A.S. Clark, Washington D.C. were in town Thursday on a business and pleasure trip combined. Mr. Leonard is one of the commissioners of Easton. - Miss Agnes Markoe, of Baltimore, is the guest of Mrs. Blanchard Emory. St. Mary's Beacon Washington Letter:- Senator and Mrs. Gibson, the handsomest couple in Washington, have a delightful suite of rooms at the Shoreham, and on Thursdays they are thronged by the many admirers of Maryland's junior Senator. Senator Gibson is an authority on terrapin, and Mrs. Gibson's champagne punch is as nectar to the thirsty. Dr. J.E.M. Chamberlaine is a delagate from the Medical and Chirugical Faculty of Maryland to the twentieth annual meeting of the American Medical Association meeting in Baltimore this week. Dr. Fred Dunning was present yesterday at the meeting in Baltimore. He was a delegate to the Association when it met in Milwaukee four years ago.
