Elliott, was 12 years old last Friday, and in the afternoon entertained these young friends at a pink tea: Misses Katharine Dimpfel, Bessie Bateman, Ethel Aldridge, Meta Tharp and Clara Bateman. Charles A. Chipley and family are now occupying this new country residence, The Anchorage, on Miles River. The extensive improvements made by Mr. Chipley to this property have been fully described in The Ledger. Other improvements are in progress. Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Dixon and family expect to remove from Baltimore to North Bend, their Talbot county residence, next week. Mrs. John B. Dixon is already at Bloomfield for the summer, and Misses Bartie and Ethel Dixon will arrive there next week. Mrs. Thomas Golt was called to Chicago last week by the serious illness of her son, Haddaway S. Golt, who was ill with acute pneumonia. Her son-in-law Milton Soulsby accompanied her. They have since returned home, as young Mr. Golt is now on the rapid road to recovery. Miss Rosa Catrup, formerly of Skipton but now residing in Baltimore, was married last week to John A. Adams of that city. The ceremony was preformed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Barry. Miss Ernestine Winkle was bridesmaid and Bernard Boone was best man.
