In the House Delegate H. W. Dawson has introduced a series of petitions forwarded by B. John Black Martin, Maryland State Grange, and approved by that body. One indorses the Torrens system of registering land titles, another approves a bill requiring requiring all horse-drawn vehicles to carry lights while on the highways at night, and a third asks for legislation to so amend the general incorporation of laws that the formation of co-operative agricultural associations may be encouraged. Talbot Boy On Torpedoed Transport. Among the engineers on board the ill-fated transport "Tuscania," torpedoed off the Irish coast this week by a German pirate, was Thomas Earle Cooper, son of Ex-County Commissioner Thos. F. Cooper, of Bozman. The young man was attached to the Company E. Sixth Battalion, Twentieth Engineers Forestry, and at the hour of going to press had not been reported as among those saved. Lieutenant Cooper was a graduate engineer, and for some years had been in the chemistry department at Sparrow's Point, and recently resigned to enter service in the forestry work in France. He was a type of young man that is most admired and the hundreds of Talbot friends of himself and parents ardently hope that his name will appear among those rescued. Charles S. Henry Dead. Charles Steele Henry, aged 62 years, died in Baltimore early Friday morning. His remains will be brought to Easton today and funeral services will be held from Christ Church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Relatives and friends are requested to attend without further notice. Fred Sparklin, 12 years old, son of Mrs. Samuel T. Harris, of Easton, was kicked in the face by a young colt on the farm of Jackson Williams, in Landing Neck, on Tuesday. The boy was brought to Easton Tuesday evening by William M. Elliott, and taken to Dr. Dunning's office. Dr. Dunning called in Dr. Councell, and the two made an examination. They found that there was a compound comminuted fracture of the lower jaw. The fracture was reduced and the laceration was stiched, and the injured boy is now doing well. It was necessary to remove several pieces of bone from his jaw. Drs. Dunning and Councell pronounced it about the worst case of the kind they ever saw. The lad says that he was kicked at noon: and Mr. Williams washed his face and took him to Dr. Johns, who could do nothing for the him, and when he returned to the farm Mr. Williams made him plant corn all the afternoon. Finally, he says, the pain was so great that he started for a drugstore to have some laudanum put on the wound, when Mr. Elliot met him and brought him to Easton. He is now resting comfortably at his mother's and a number of Easton gentlemen are seeing that he receives every care and attention. Fred Sparklin, 12 years old, son of Mrs. Samuel T. Harris, of Easton, was kicked in the face by a young colt on the farm of Jackson Williams, in Landing Neck, on Tuesday. They found that there was a compound comminuted fracture of the lower jaw. The fracture was reduced and the laceration was stiched, and the injured boy is now doing well.
