Dear Marilyn, Thanks for your prompt reply. Not what I wanted to hear but that's the way it is. Win some, lose some. But if one doesn't ask you'll never know. Please let me know if you ever run across a cousin to your Nicholas or another Nicholas Fry(e) who did marry Anna Maria Bohrer. I wonder if they could have been related? So many times first names were family names and a brother and/or uncle would name his children the same first names as his brother/cousin/uncle named his children. But I know Fry(e) is a fairly common name. Anna Maria Bohrer was probably in either Frederick Co, VA or MD both had a Frederick Co and Maria & Nicholas supposedly moved to the Carolinas after they married. Her brother John Peter Bohrer stayed in Frederick Co and Montgomery Co MD and fought in the Revolutionary War. She had at least two other brothers who survived to maturity: John Adam and John George both stayed in Frederick Co, VA where the present Berkley, Jefferson and Morgan Co in WV are. Sure would love to find them. The Bohrer family many times also had scads of children. Some had twenty or more by one wife - I'm glad I wasn't the wife. Thanks, again.
