    3. There is a Henry Hoffman under the category of men who served who can not be placed into a specific company. The only information is: Hoffman, Henry born 1757, applied pension. There is an initial HWN, which means that the information came from H.W. Newman's Maryland Revolutionary Records, Balt. 1938, 67. " Lieutenant Colonel Stricker, was the Captain of Light Infantry Company, in Colonel William Smallwood's Maryland Battalion formed in 1776. [27]* Major Weltner, was 1st. Major of the first Battalion of Frederick County, Militia [28]*." *sorry for not including what [27] & [28] mean.     3. I forgot to cite on the Hoffman look-up. It is from German Regiment of Maryland and Pennsylvania in the Continental Army 1776-1781, by Henry J. Retzer.
