Lorin, The cemetery is very much intact and the Graceham Moravian Church is alive and thriving. The minister is really nice and let me make copies of church records. He gave us a tour of the church and explained why the church was set up the way it was. Most of the stones are laid flat. That is their custom. If you go there, you'll need to bring a few supplies to get the best pictures without damaging the stones. You'll need a whisk broom, 1 or 2 gallons of water, grass clippers, paper towels, a trash bag, and artist's charcoal. After trimming around the stone, clean it and photograph it while it is wet. Be sure there is no shadow on the stone when you stand over it, then take the picture. Use the charcoal if you need to enhance the letters, etc., if needed. Please be sure to clean up before you leave. the pictures I took turned out great. There is also a two volume set of books you may find helpful. I think the name is "Tombstone Inscriptions" or something similar. Frederick County MD is also included in the and it was published in 1966. If you can't find the stones you want in the cemetery, check the books.
