Hello Frederick Newsgroup! Living in Maryland, and being a MYERS as led me to focus on the MIER/MYER/MEYER lines from old Monocacy (Frederick-Town). I've visited the Frederick County Historical Society several times this summer (the dog-gone heat has kept me from going on a few occasions)! But no one seems to know, nor be able to tell me what reference book to look in to find where the original 1st of this line that bought part of Tasker's Chance land plot number 3 was/is buried. I've placed some of what I've researched "already" online, and in no way do I have everything up online - time and my carpel tunnel won't allow me this somedays. If you'd like to see what I have put online thus far, you may goto http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~chrystiem/lineages/casparmier/caspa rmi.htm "AND" I've placed the reference books that I have "poured thru" but still I find nothing at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~chrystiem/lineages/casparmier/sourc es.htm. I've had no problem finding his son Christoph(er) MEYER and his wife and children; his sons but nothing on Caspar MIER/MYER. I do have his will and he wrote his name as Caspar K. MYER though his original spelling on the 1827 land deed shows MIER. I've even fairly certain I've traced him back to his father, whom had the same name "Johann Caspar MEYER" in Holland. His name has also been written as Gasper MIRE from other evidence from the Reformed when he took his sacrament, certified by Jacob BRUNNER (RUNNER) a Reformed Church Elder & John Peter HOUGHMAM (HOFFMAN) as witness. If anyone can steer me in the right direction as to where to search, I'd really appreciate it. My theory is that he's buried in one of the Reformed Church Cemeteries in-town, possibly the one across from the historical society, but many of the oldest of stones that were removed to this church are unreadable, my luck. And if anyone wishes to see Jacobs "Apple Church Cemetery", I have some of the more readable stones online in Digital format. I ran out of memory or I would have taken many more. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~chrystiem/albums/md/frederick/apple cemetery/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chrystie - ROOTSWEB LIST ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE BROOKOVER - KRABAL - MOYERS LIST NEWSGROUPS MYERS GENEALOGY http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~chrystiem/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > Subject: MD-FRED-GEN-D Digest V02 #85 > >
