Ok, I'll open the can of worms here. Old Monocacy, which is what the original settlement was called is "very" open for debate. Most lay claim with certainty that it does consist of all tracts that were known as "Tasker's Chance", now sitting inside of downtown Frederick City. But, experts mostly agree (using "agree" loosely here) that Old Monocacy, named for the River, consist of the entire watershed Thank you very much for the geography lesson.!
