Still looking for any information on anyone in this family: Henry Hoffman b. abt. 1756 was a Hessian soldier deserted, later fought for the Patriots in the Revolutionary War. He married Elizabeth Wickard in 1783 in Lancaster, PA. They settled in the Fairview/Shookstown area of Frederick County, Maryland. Their children are: George Hoffman b. 1784 Caspar Hoffman abt. 1787 (married Margaret Winpigler 10-24-1825) John Hoffman Abt. 1789 (married Elizabeth Loving) Henry Hoffman abt. 1789 Ann Catharine Hoffman abt. 1794 (married Boyle Traverse 10-15-1825) Jacob Hoffman abt. 1795 Adam Hoffman abt. 1800, died 8-2-1828 (wife Susanna, Children: William, Harriet Charlotte Hoffman abt. 1813, d. 3/18/1887 (died unmarried) Rebecca Margaret Hoffman abt. 1803 married 4-22-1819 (married George Hill, buried in Washington County, MD Many of this family are buried in unmarked graves in the Getzendanner Cemetery in Frederick, MD. With the exception of Rebecca Margaret Hoffman Hill and George Hoffman, all of them lived in the Fairview/Shookstown area of Frederick, MD.
