Very good reminder Dory - thank you for the thought. I have looked at every variant of Glandon I can think of - but always assuming the "G" would be correct. Family tradition says that he was "Scotch Irish" but that surname does not appear in any of their records. Someday......... (sigh), he'll turn up. I *DO* have the marriage record for Wm. Glanders (sic) - from the County as a "Certificate", the book index entry, and a copy of the original filmed records of St John's. I've said many times that I wished they would have been Catholic - then the church records would have reflected the names of their parents and possibly their previous location. In the case of St John's records in Hagerstown, it is a columnar record listing only Date, Groom & Bride. Thanks for the thought.....
